Legend of the Fist – The Return of Chen Zhen(2010) – Donnie Yen, Qi Shu, Anthony Wong Chau-Sang

Nothing like a good kung-fu theater flick to bring smiles all around, and Legend of the Fist did exactly that.

Plot: Little men  run around shouting in Chinese/Japanese and beating each other up.

Why we like it: Little men run around shouting in Chinese/Japanese and beating each other up.

Why we smoked while we watched: Little me run around shouting………

The real review:  I love Bruce Lee.  This is no Bruce Lee flick.  It is however a pretty damn good modern kung fu thriller.  Donnie Yen reprises the Chen Zhen role well and Qi Shu is a lovely distraction from all the chaos and fight scenes.  If you’re down with the Chen Zhen legend, you’ll want to catch this one with a blunt and a friend.

How Weed Won The West(2010) – Alex Jones, Ethan Nadelmann, Jeff Joseph

Sacred Cow Productions/Kevin Booth

A pretty decent documentary about the growth of use and cultivation of marijuana in western USA(CA).  Stories of D.E.A. raids, clips from politicians and more splatter this film from start to finish with no direction other than the obvious retaliation to the ‘Drug War’ waged against the ‘good guys.’  Interesting views from both sides of these idiotic political groups kept me from turning it off, a couple joints while watching it kept me laughing at the insanity.

The Last Airbender(2010) – Noah Ringer, Dev Patel, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone

Rev Scarekrowe:  Having NO former knowledge of this story line I as AMAZED with the movie.  Yah… I know… it’s the age old story of the elements… good vs bad.. blah blah… but the movie itself was REALLY good.  Definitely a second watcher!  Three Bong Tokes!

Juggalo Scott:  It was good for un-animated version of the toons.  The only thing I didn’t like was all the deleted scenes and parts fro the original story line.  They seemed to pick out the best of all, and cram it into a hour and half flick….. Two Bong Tokes!

Phatt Rat:  If you haven’t followed the toons.. it’s excellent.  If you haven’t followed the toons, it’s STILL an excellent flick!  BUY/WATCH if you can!

Rampage(2009) – Brendan Fletcher, Shaun Sipos, Michael Paré

Rev Scarekrowe: This movie is full on unbelievable.  Psycho killer goes crazy and just starts wasting people in a small town.  Spoiler alert: HE GETS AWAY WITH IT! *toke toke*…. there’s more weapons used in this movie than I’ve seen in armories.

Juggalo Scott: Let’s see here… definitely a good movie.  I understand why they called it Rampage.  Definitely along the lines of my action type movies.

Phat Ratt: THAT DUDE WAS NUTZ!  INTENSE and didn’t expect it to end the way it did!

THREE BONG TOKES!

Tears For The Sun – (2003) Bruce Willis, Cole Hauser, Monica Bellucci

Rev Scarekrowe:  Why would you make an ‘extraction’ movie and hold every bit of action till the last 10 minutes?  I swear I kept looking for Glover and something to happen. This was no 48 Hours rampage nor was it to much of my liking.  I damn near fell asleep….. *toke toke*… and by the time the movie ended I was cheering for all the dead bodies everywhere.  – One bong toke.

Scotty: First put it’s a good movie for those liking action. Second put, If you’re looking for more, go watch another one. – Two bong tokes.
